Petition for Degrees (new member)
Membership is open
to any male at least 18 years old who believes in a Supreme Divine
Being and the immortality of the soul. Christians, Jews, Moslems, Hindus,
and even various Neo-Pagans may be members.
No mason can solicit your membership, and you must afirm before being admitted to the lodge that receiving any of the degrees of Masonry is done freely without coercion of any kind.
If you are a man of good character, who has a favorable impression of the fraternity, and would like to improve yourself through masonry, you would want to seek out a mason and ask him about joining.
If you are not sure you know any Masons, and live in the Greater Cleveland Area, you may contact one of our Lodge Officers about exploring options within the fraternity. Our petition is available in the downloads field to the left.
Petition for Affiliation (changing primary Lodge membership)
Any Mason may completely change his lodge affiliation from any lodge
inside or outside of Ohio. A mason in good standing may submit an Application
for Affiliation to his proposed lodge. After acceptance, a dimit is requested.
On receipt of the dimit, he becomes a member of the proposed lodge. A
dimit must be granted for any member in good standing, not in arrears
of dues, and free of any pending charges. Forms required: Form
86: Application for Affiliation, Form
60: Dimit Request, and Form
85: request for Dimit. Please consult your Lodge Secretary for further
details.
Petition for Dual Membership is for Masons who hold membership in a Lodge outside of Ohio, would like to join our lodge but do not wish to demit (resign) from their original lodge. A Mason who belongs to a lodge outside of Ohio may submit an Application for Dual Membership, which, upon acceptance, makes him a member of both lodges. One can only become a dual member if the lodge of the Mason’s current (original) affiliation recognizes dual membership.
Petition for Plural Membership
An Ohio Mason may become a member of multiple Ohio lodges. Plural members
must maintain their membership in their primary lodge, and have all the
rights of membership, including the right to hold office. No plural member
may be Master of more than one lodge in any given year. Complete
